We have a collection of ball pit balls that make up what we affectionately call our "dirty old balls" beads. These pretty rainbow earrings are comprised of what's left over after we punch out all of our beads from those dirty old balls - we really like to use every bit of what we have. Our "dirty old balls" actually bring us a lot of joy, as most of them are from dog friendly ball pits, and just got chewed up too much to carry on with their original purpose. We're absolutely thrilled to have the opportunity to give them their next life as something pretty.
Due to the handmade nature of these earrings and the materials used to create them, slight differences should be expected from pair to pair, and from the image shown to illustrate the earrings. Colors may look different in person than they appear on screen. Slight imperfections should be expected and add to the uniqueness of artisan jewelry. This listing is for one pair of earrings, only. These are considered costume jewelry and should be kept in dry areas when not being worn (so don't keep them in the bathroom or kitchen, don't go swimming in them, don't wear them while dancing in the rain, etc.). Spraying chemicals on or near costume jewelry may speed up the "antiquing" of metal - for instance, perfumes, hair spray, make-up setting sprays.
A portion of our proceeds are donated to environmental conservation efforts. We donate a minimum of $1,000 per year to Ocean Conservancy as part of their Business Champions for Sea Change Program. We also donate $1 to Mangrove Action Project for each package we ship. The sale of these pieces also helps to fund the direct clean-up of thousands of pieces and pounds of plastic trash, as well as helping to fund environmental education efforts.
