Trashion Revolution

"Trashion" is a design made mostly or almost entirely out of reclaimed materials. Triveni Institute's "Trashion Revolution 2025: Modern Mythology" celebrated designers who worked primarily with post-consumer single-use plastics. My design for this show featured a dress made out of plastic grocery bags, which was then embellished with water balloon straws, single-use plastic drinking straws, school folders, and holiday wrapping paper. In addition to the dress, I created a fascinator out of a McDonald's cup, a container lid, fruit netting, straws, and a plastic tablecloth.

The dress was modeled by the fabulous McKeely Malas.
