Second Verse, Same As The First

Updated: Jan 17, 2019

I'm in California. I rode my bike all over heaven and back my first week but now it's pouring and I'm stuck inside. Stuck inside is actually good.

I have 10,127 goals while I'm here, one of which involves writing. I know I'd like to write again, and I have started writing again...but to be honest, some of it is just pure garbage, so that's going to stay with me and just me for a while. But it's ok. I feel like almost everything in my life that's good had it's roots in pure garbage, and I feel confident that my current garbage pile of writing will blossom into something beautiful.

In the meantime, I'll blog publicly about every tiny mistake I make and every little thing I learn that hopefully makes me a better person today than I was yesterday.

This week I learned that ground turkey is disgusting and that I won't be making it ever again. Hopefully tomorrow's lessons will be better. And more interesting. One can only hope. - JM

I too HATE ground turkey, except in a found meatloaf recipe that makes it truly exceptional. If you are a meatloaf fan, the results of the recipe are proof enough that wonderful things can be made with trash ingredients - although the turkeys would probably protest the label...
