I live by a large park, and many people host celebrations there during the weekends in warmer weather. On Monday park clean-ups, I ALWAYS find celebratory garbage. The blue sparkle in these earrings comes from sparkly blue pacifier confetti that I picked out of the grass and dirt while crawling around on my hands and knees.
 
The park employees aren't able to pick up confetti, so it gets shredded by lawnmowers and mixed into the soil. Please take this as a gentle reminder to never use confetti outdoors - it's terrible for the environment and for wildlife.
