We inherited a giant collection of beads from a local jeweler who decided to retire their collection. I immediately fell in love with these faceted turquoise/teal glass beads. Reminiscent of sea glass and vacation waters, they're pretty enough to be the single focal point for these gold hoop earrings.
As sustainability enthusiasts, we're always looking for ways to lower our footprint. These earrings fit perfectly with our mission, as we did not purchase any new beads for these - they were designed using the remnants of donated broken/discarded jewelry. The hoops are 35 mm gold-filled and the beads are a rainbow of pastel colors, made from a variety of different materials.
Our Reclaimed Bead Collection includes salvaged, reclaimed and vintage beads. We regularly receive donated beads from other people's broken jewelry and/or bead collections. We're so happy to have the opportunity to keep our footprint lower by not purchasing new beads, to prevent these items from going to the landfill, and to repurpose these pieces into something fresh and new.
We pair these beads with high-quality ear wires so that your jewelry will last longer. And if you ever decide that you've had your jewelry long enough, you can send it back to us and we'll recycle it again!
