These earrings used to be garbage.
Not metaphorically. Literally. Plastic lids, bottle caps, straws, ball pit balls, school folders — the stuff that can't go in the recycling bin and usually ends up in a landfill or worse, somewhere it was never supposed to be.
I make jewelry and sculptures out of those trash pieces, but I still end up with leftovers. Scraps of scraps. I bind those scraps with a plant based bio resin and sand them to a soft sea-glass finish to create these unique earrings. Sales from these earrings help fund local clean-ups, environmental education, and a free public art space I open every Saturday - a place where anyone can come make something. So you're not just wearing something beautiful - you're starting a conversation.
Made in small batches. Limited availability. The materials depend on what I find and/or have leftover, so no two batches/pieces are exactly alike.
