One day while out walking I found the biggest deflated pool toy in the middle of the street. It was filled with glitter, which I unsuccessfully tried to vacuum out. It's so much glitter and so much vinyl - I'll probably never be able to use it all. These earrings include just a tiny amount of a big problem. Glitter is actually a microplastic, so reducing our use of glitter/ glitter filled toys helps everyone!

These are considered costume jewelry and should be kept in dry areas when not being worn (so don't keep them in the bathroom or kitchen, don't go swimming in them, don't wear them while dancing in the rain, etc.). Spraying chemicals on or near costume jewelry may speed up the "antiquing" of metal - for instance, perfumes, hair spray, make-up setting sprays.
When not worn, pieces should be stored in a dark, cool place, away from light and air exposure. Hair spray, perfume, etc should be applied and allowed to dry before putting on jewelry. These are not out of the ordinary storage solutions, but rather, best practices for all jewelry pieces.
