The sparkly blue in these earrings comes from blue pacifier confetti that I cleaned up from my local park. Confetti is one of the hardest items to clean up from nature, yet it's one of the most common items I find in the park after a weekend. It's size makes it difficult to pick-up, and it often gets shredded into even tinier pieces by lawnmowers. My hope is that by starting conversations about things like this, that together we an convince people to change some of their habits!

These are considered costume jewelry and should be kept in dry areas when not being worn (so don't keep them in the bathroom or kitchen, don't go swimming in them, don't wear them while dancing in the rain, etc.). Spraying chemicals on or near costume jewelry may speed up the "antiquing" of metal - for instance, perfumes, hair spray, make-up setting sprays.
When not worn, pieces should be stored in a dark, cool place, away from light and air exposure. Hair spray, perfume, etc should be applied and allowed to dry before putting on jewelry. These are not out of the ordinary storage solutions, but rather, best practices for all jewelry pieces.
