These earrings used to be garbage.
Not metaphorically. Literally. Plastic lids, bottle caps, straws, ball pit balls, school folders — the stuff that can't go in the recycling bin and usually ends up in a landfill or worse, somewhere it was never supposed to be.
Each plastic bead is hand-punched from reclaimed plastic. Every single one. I know, because I did it. It takes absolutely forever, but it's a process and product that I'm so very proud of.
Sales from these earrings help fund local clean-ups, environmental education, and a free public art space I open every Saturday - a place where anyone can come make something.
Made in small batches. Limited availability. The materials depend on what I find, so no two batches are exactly alike.
