We combined various shades of pink and green recycled beads to make these succulent inspired beads. We made the plastic beads for these earrings from mateless lids, school supplies, shampoo bottles, and our infamous "old dirty balls (ball pit balls)."

These earrings are 35 mm gold filled and measure approximately 1.25 inches in diameter. . Gold-filled jewelry has 100x more gold alloy than gold plated. Because that layer is so much thicker, it means gold-filled jewelry lasts longer and stands up to wear and tear better than gold plated.

The plastics  in my jewelry come from beach plastic, street plastic, donated plastics and leftover bits from my other recycled plastic jewelry. In many cases, there is no current method of recycling these plastics via traditional means. All plastics are cleaned and sanitized before use.

We pair the plastics with high quality ear wire metals like gold fill and sterling silver so that your jewelry will last longer. And if you ever decide that you've had your jewelry long enough, you can send it back to us and we'll recycle it again!

Due to the handmade nature of these earrings and the materials used to create them, slight differences should be expected from pair to pair, and from the image shown to illustrate the earrings. Colors may look different in person than they appear on screen. This listing is for one pair of earrings, only. All other photos are included for size and material reference.

  • These are considered costume jewelry and should be kept in dry areas when not being worn (so don't keep them in the bathroom or kitchen, don't go swimming in them, don't wear them while dancing in the rain, etc.). Spraying chemicals on or near costume jewelry may speed up the "antiquing" of metal - for instance, perfumes, hair spray, make-up setting sprays.
