Delicate recycled translucent white "flower petals" were hand colored with alcohol inks to create these colorful Graffiti Garden earrings. The petals almost seem to float on the gold plated hypoallergenic earwires.  These earrings are approximately 2" long. I'm so happy with how these turned out - I absolutely love that they're recyled but still somehow ethereal.

The flower petals on these artist made earrings are each cut and formed by hand from trash plastics -these were made from a batch of to go container lids that were headed for the garbage before they were redirected to us. Because of the labor intensive process of this work and the uncertainty regarding sourcing of materials, these earrings are made in small batches and have limited availability.

In many cases, there is no current method of recycling the plastics I use via traditional means. The plastics used for these earrings are currently not recyclable where I live. All plastics are cleaned and sanitized before use. And if you ever decide that you've had your jewelry long enough, you can send it back to us and we'll recycle it again!

Due to the handmade nature of these earrings and the materials used to create them, slight differences should be expected from pair to pair, and from the image shown to illustrate the earrings. Colors may look slightly different in person than they appear on screen. This listing is for one pair of earrings, only. All other photos are included for size and material reference.

  • These are considered costume jewelry and should be kept in dry areas when not being worn (so don't keep them in the bathroom or kitchen, don't go swimming in them, don't wear them while dancing in the rain, etc.). Spraying chemicals on or near costume jewelry may speed up the "antiquing" of metal - for instance, perfumes, hair spray, make-up setting sprays.

A portion of our proceeds are donated to environmental conservation efforts. We donate a minimum of $1,000 per year to Ocean Conservancy as part of their Business Champions for Sea Change Program. We also donate $1 to Mangrove Action Project for each package we ship. The sale of these pieces also helps to fund the direct clean-up of thousands of pieces and pounds of plastic trash, as well as helping to fund environmental education efforts.

Please see our page on sustainability for information on how you can return your old or worn out Hey Lola jewelry to us for recycling.
