These earrings used to be trash.
Not metaphorically. Literally. Plastic lids, bottle caps, straws, ball pit balls, school folders — the stuff that can't go in the recycling bin and usually ends up in a landfill or worse, somewhere it was never supposed to be.
Each bead is hand-punched from reclaimed plastic. Every single one. It's tedious, honestly. But look at them. I'm obsessed with the idea and the end result.
Most pairs are one of a kind. A few are made in tiny batches of two or three. Either way, when they're gone, they're gone — because the materials depend on what I find.
Sales from these earrings help fund local clean-ups, environmental education, and a free public art space I open every Saturday. No cost, no experience required. Just come make something.

Opal - Multicolor Silver Hoop Earrings
These are considered costume jewelry and should be kept in dry areas when not being worn (so don't keep them in the bathroom or kitchen, don't go swimming in them, don't wear them while dancing in the rain, etc.). Spraying chemicals on or near costume jewelry may speed up the "antiquing" of metal - for instance, perfumes, hair spray, make-up setting sprays.
When not worn, pieces should be stored in a dark, cool place, away from light and air exposure. Hair spray, perfume, etc should be applied and allowed to dry before putting on jewelry. These are not out of the ordinary storage solutions, but rather, best practices for all jewelry pieces.
