My friend bought one of those Purple mattresses and it came in a large purple vinyl bag. The bag was great to hold the mattress, but didn't have much use past that. She gifted it to me, and I've been using it for art projects ever since! I combined some of the scraps with an abandoned purple container lid to make these pretty purple earrings.

These are considered costume jewelry and should be kept in dry areas when not being worn (so don't keep them in the bathroom or kitchen, don't go swimming in them, don't wear them while dancing in the rain, etc.). Spraying chemicals on or near costume jewelry may speed up the "antiquing" of metal - for instance, perfumes, hair spray, make-up setting sprays.
When not worn, pieces should be stored in a dark, cool place, away from light and air exposure. Hair spray, perfume, etc should be applied and allowed to dry before putting on jewelry. These are not out of the ordinary storage solutions, but rather, best practices for all jewelry pieces.
