Sometimes people ask me why I seem to have this thing for jellyfish.
Jellyfish help me be a better person.
I think jellyfish are beautiful. I’ve also never been stung by a jellyfish.
I know people who HAVE been stung, and they don’t want to have anything to do with jellyfish.
The same jellyfish can elicit very different reactions from different people, depending on our experiences.
So when I think about people and situations where “I just don’t get it,” I try to think about jellyfish.
We all live in a world with jellyfish, but we move through the world in ways unique to us, and relate to jellyfish based on our own experiences.
And we are also jellyfish.
Beautiful to some. Toxic to others.
Just swimming.
