The transparent white flowers on these artist made earrings are each cut and formed by hand from water bottle caps - caps which were either found on clean-ups or recycled with me through other people. These handmade beads and charms are then assembled together on gold earwires, and attached to salvaged chain (either thrifted or recycled with me). Because of the labor intensive process of this work and the uncertainty regarding sourcing of materials, these earrings are made in small batches and have limited availability.

The earwires for these are  24k gold fill and the earrings are approximately 3" long.

The trash plastics in my jewelry come from beach plastic, street plastic, and leftover bits from my other recycled plastic jewelry. In many cases, there is no current method of recycling these plastics via traditional means.  All plastics are cleaned and sanitized before use.

Due to the handmade nature of these earrings and the materials used to create them, slight differences should be expected from pair to pair, and from the image shown to illustrate the earrings. Colors may look different in person than they appear on screen. This listing is for one pair of earrings, only. All other photos are included for size and material reference.

  • These are considered costume jewelry and should be kept in dry areas when not being worn (so don't keep them in the bathroom or kitchen, don't go swimming in them, don't wear them while dancing in the rain, etc.). Spraying chemicals on or near costume jewelry may speed up the "antiquing" of metal - for instance, perfumes, hair spray, make-up setting sprays.

A portion of our proceeds are donated to environmental conservation efforts. We donate a minimum of $1,000 per year to Ocean Conservancy as part of their Business Champions for Sea Change Program. We also donate $1 to Mangrove Action Project for each package we ship.
